“Who’s the Man?” is a new track from Freeze Frame that shows eclectic stylistic charm. A low vocal distortion in beginning combines with “back into the left,” vocal repetition for an ominous, captivating feel. 00:40 marks a more conventional vocal turn into a hip-hop-laden flow — working well amidst the brooding bass line and suave guitars. Further on, the “who’s the man?” hook at 01:24 is gripping. The idiosyncratic nature of this track is commendable — from the rock/hip-hop hybrid working well, to the grainy and interesting video footage, featuring the ghoul mask on drums. Sultry guitar licks at 02:13 play nicely, as well. Aesthetically reminding a bit of YouTube act Tonetta, in being eerily effective, “Who’s the Man?” is an engaging listen.
