“Security” is a newly released track from Vienna-based trio The Faded North, the second single off their new EP What Did I Miss?, also releasing this month. Comprised of immigrants from the North of England, The Faded North concoct a sound with a shimmering post-punk appeal. A hypnotic rhythm section, nonchalant vocals, and a bright guitar lead help to captivate throughout, escalating at 01:52 when elongated vocals and a lulling guitar progression lead into a rhythmically thunderous conclusion that’s fully satisfying.
