Lucky Horses – “Terraces & Discos”

“Terraces & Discos” is a new single from Lucky Horses that touts a sound particularly appealing to Pet Shop Boys fans like myself. The London-based duo have the shimmering synth-pop aesthetic down pat, also winning with a melodic formula that’s catchy and lush. The vocals are submerged with nonchalance and reverb, as glistening guitars and a driving synth-bass take hold, the feel alternating between nocturnal nonchalance and more effervescent perkiness. Formed this past summer, Lucky Horses are a promising new act with a consuming aesthetic and knack for melody.

“Terraces & Discos” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Electro and Synth-Pop.
