Mark Peters and The Dark Band – “Sum Of All Parts”

Originally from South London and presently based in Vienna, Mark Peters is a musician capable of producing soaring melodies and moving songs. His debut EP Spirits released in October 2017 to acclaim, Peters’ work alongside producer Dan Fisher showing his guitar and songwriting abilities. This month, Peters is releasing the 4-track EP Sum Of All Parts, kicked off by a self-titled track that also has a video (above). It’s a rousing effort, with Peters’ vocals ascending from fragile folk-laden croons to a moving rock-centric anthem with ample emotion. It’s a track that shows Peters’ range, both as a vocalist and songwriting in transitioning seamlessly from more folk-laden verses into a chorus with an organ-accompanied rock sentiment.
