J’Moris – “Pretend”

/

Previously impressing with the tracks “Dope Life” and “K.A.M,” J’Moris just dropped his new RNB EP. Previous efforts showed J’Moris’ own vein of southern trap, and this latest release shows his best performances – both in terms of vocal flow and interesting beats – to date. EP opener “Pretend” rides on ghostly synths to begin, with the vocals stretching out once the chilled-out percussion kicks in. The twinkling keys and rhythms provide the ideal complement to J’Moris’ infectious and impressive delivery. The artist’s biggest influences include Master P (“his grind was great”, says Moris), Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, T.I., Kevin Gates, Nipsey Hustle & Biggie Smalls.
