Lillimure – “Something”

“Something” is another winner from Lillimure, a singer/songwriter from Westchester, New York. Impressing in January with the track “WDYTM,” Lillimure builds on that track’s perky vocal melodies, snappy brass infusions, and bustling rhythms with the catching “Something.” Swanky keys and a snappy percussive pull accompanies the entrancing vocals, fit for any R&B soundscape. “Something” showcases more of the artist’s vocal talents, accompanied by a stirring, soulful arsenal with bustling rhythms and mellow keys.

“This song was inspired by a series of events that made me feel helpless,” Lillimure says. “It’s about finding what resonates with you the most to push through and knowing that there is an educational value to every situation. I hope this song can break the stigma about success- for every notable win, there are more unseen ‘losses’ and true success comes from overcoming the obstacles you face to do what you love.”

“Something” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2019’ Spotify playlist.
