GEA – “Snow”

/

GEA is an artist from Helsinki, Finland, producing a beautifully majestic sound with key-laden effervesence, orchestral shimmers, and ethereal vocals. Her new EP, Snow, shows five tracks with enormous atmpospheric pull, recalling Kate Bush’s gripping soundscapes. GEA’s debut came in September 2017, with an ambient fusion debut, and has since expanded her sound into one with instrumental growth and vocal prowess. This EP combines with a buzzed-about SXSW showcase to suggest 2019 could be a massive year for the artist. The EP’s self-titled track is a great place to start, an aptly titled effort – considering the wintry feel – that grows on soaring vocals and creeping orchestral instrumentation.
