Sundogs – “Fallen Hero”

/

Seattle band Sundogs conjure an accessible sound steeped in classic-rock sentiments. Their new album Legends In Their Own Minds sounds entrenched in a time when Tom Petty was a mainstay on the charts, echoing a breezy rock sound fit for anthemic sing-alongs at summer festivals. Opening track “Fallen Hero” rides on a confident vocal delivery and pleasant guitar twangs. The piano work at the two-minute mark adds further depth, exploring a jam-friendly side in addition to the approachable rock sound. Sundogs produces an alluring, nostalgic sound fit for BBQs, where easy-listening and accessibility are often a good bet. Stream Legends In Their Own Minds on Spotify here.

“Fallen Hero” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.
