The excellent “Tie Dye Daydream” is the debut track from Daffodil Daze. Chilled-out guitars and mellow whistles establish a consuming aesthetic early. The serene vocals aid nicely, with the “show me the way,” vocal hook injecting some infectious effervescence. The hopping synths linger in the background alongside the swaying guitars, resulting in a hypnotic feel. “Tie Dye Daydream” is ideal listening for stoned summer days. I’ll be looking forward to more from Daffodil Daze, who is releasing two singles to follow and then an EP.
