Nyre – “Hurry to Me”

/

San Francisco act Nyre show a successful, vibrant psych-rock sound on new track “Hurry to Me.” Hazy, nonchalant vocals and reflective guitar tones lead initially, with enhanced vocal emotion arriving around the one-minute mark as a lush bass-led crawl becomes more apparent. There’s an Interpol-like quality in the guitar tone and bass line around the 01:30 mark, and enjoyably so. As the percussion picks up approaching the two-minute mark, there’s a wordless range of melodic whimsy that plays appealingly. “Hurry to Me” is an enjoyable track throughout from Nyre.
