Stray Fossa – “Eyze”

/

Charlottesville, VA act Stray Fossa impressed this past September with their eponymous debut EP. Their hypnotic, dream-pop tendencies continue on new track “Eyze,” where glistening guitars ride over a resonating bass line. The effort’s mid-section features some strikingly melodic guitar work, which builds nicely into a lush vocal presence and bass backing. Per the band, the track regards “the frustration of creating under pressure and the fleeting nature of inspiration that comes and goes before one has the chance to channel it into anything meaningfully productive.” Stray Fossa has only impressed thus far with their releases to date.

“Eyze” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
