The Covasettes – “Twit Too”

Manchester rock band The Covasettes dropped their debut EP, It’s Always Sunny Above the Clouds, on July 5th. Its four tracks showcase a catchy, shimmering sound fit for summer indie-rock playlists. Opener “Twit Too” is exemplary of this, launching into fleeting guitars with a Strokes-like vigor by the 11-second mark. The suave vocals escalate into an infectious “do you wanna go?” hook, with the fluid guitars and wordless vocal enthusiasm in the chorus enticing further replays. “Twit Too” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
