Young Goats – “Gaze On”

/

“Gaze On” is a playful pop effort from Goat Life Vol. 1, the new album from Los Angeles hip-hop act Young Goats. The project incorporates styles old and new, meshing a sleek pop feel with late-night club vibes. Aesthetically, there’s an audible fondness for ’90s dance-pop. Aptly enough, the release has a summer-minded allure to it, evident in the pulsing synth effervescence and chilled-out delivery on “Gaze On.” The “love you way gaze on me,” vocal repetition towards the end plays with hypnotic, contagious charm.

The project explains: “This Tape is a Summer tape with lot of pop and dancehall songs with hip hop too. We use a variety of beats from EDM, Dancehall, to even House, as well as regular Hip-Hop or Pop beats. This tape is for people to listen to and have fun with while also having meaning behind the songs.”
