LOST BEACH – “Reflections”

“Reflections” is a vibrant, catchy new track from LOST BEACH. The project of Texas native and California-based musician Jonny Perdue, LOST BEACH made waves with the track “Close Call” last year, featuring in Spotify’s “Feel Good Indie Rock’ playlist. “Reflections” is another success with similarly wide appeal. The track’s suave vocals and bouncy piano in the verses lend a feel fondly reminiscent of Spoon. The “falling Fast, falling fast,” chorus amps things up with cohesive satisfaction, as chugging guitars enter the mix alongside rising vocals.

“This song was written about an aging women in Hollywood that I knew who refused to believe the dream of making it was over,” Perdue says. “She left the house everyday, dressed and prepared as if it could be the day she gets noticed. There was great loneliness but also in some ways courage in her life that in some ways I feel like I can relate too with my own dreams & pursuits.”

“Reflections” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2019’ Spotify playlist.
