Kirrah Amosa – “Undefeated”

/

Canberra native Kirrah Amosa shows a suave vein of R&B-tinged pop on the track “Undefeated.” Pulsing synths are gradually accompanied by snappy percussion, providing a nice accompaniment to the engaging vocal presence. The “already been through this before,” interlude emphasizes the lush synths in the verses, establishing a successful contrast with the string-laden swiftness of the chorus that follows. The “I am undefeated,” hook here is wholly effective, reminding me of Tierra Whack. “Undefeated” is a pleasantly melodic track with motivational, self-confident lyrics. The track’s music video features Monique (Flyweight Youth National and Oceania Champion).

“Undefeated” and other memorable tracks released in September can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2019’ Spotify playlist.
