We’re happy to premiere “This House,” the debut single from San Francisco-based duo OVRGRWN. Driven by an ’80s soundscape featuring a crawling synth-bass and glistening leads, the track is also carried by a suavely melodic vocal presence and guitar additions. The “you can help me breathe,” hook plays well alongside the clanging guitar entries, punctuated by a nostalgic synth. The duo note a strong influence from “’80s influenced soundtracks (Stranger Things, Drive, The Guest),” — and that’s certainly evident on this stellar debut. I’m looking forward to more from this rising duo.
