Charles A. Lewis – “Keep It Light”

////

The serene “Keep It Light” is exemplary of Charles A. Lewis’ laid-back sound, channeling aspects of jangle-pop, folk, and rock. Fluttering acoustics and a jangly lead guitar work around Lewis’ airy vocals, impressing with the lush “long way to go,” hook at the one-minute mark. The track comes via Lewis’ first official release, Safe Travels, streaming in full below. Presently based in New York, Lewis collaborated with musician and engineer Nick Kinsey (Kevin Morby, Elvis Perkins) to complete the album. The breezy “Keep It Light” is a great showcase of what to anticipate from this very pleasant album.

“Keep It Light” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush, Suave/Slacker, and Jangle-Rock.
