Galapaghost – “A Planet Without An Atmosphere”

/

Galapaghost’s latest EP, A Planet Without An Atmosphere, continues the Austin-based artist’s atmospheric electronic production. The solo project of Casey Chandler, Galapaghost has caught my ear several times in the past — first in 2016 with the track “I Never Arrived” and then earlier this year with “Jellyfish.” A Planet Without An Atmosphere sounds like a culmination of various strengths shown throughout the years. The EP’s self-titled track is a good place to start, evolving from minimalist buzzing synths to precisely melodic synth-pop by the track’s mid-point.

A Planet Without An Atmosphere can be streamed on all major platforms, in addition to Soundcloud below:

“A Planet Without An Atmosphere” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.
