Nomke – “Ended (by the morning sun)”

//

“Ended (by the morning sun)” is a pleasant new track from Nomke, a singer/songwriter originally from a small town in the south of Israel. Since 2015, Nomke has released several albums and EPs, in addition to touring in Israel, Italy, and Canada. “Ended (by the morning sun)” releases ahead of Nomke’s forthcoming debut album, True Queen, out in January 2020. Centering around a shimmering chorus with glowing backing vocals and twangy guitars, the track shows a well-produced and melodic sound throughout. “Ended (by the morning sun)” is a delight that has me anticipating True Queen in January.

Regarding the track, the artist says the following:

“One morning, I saw the lie I was living. I recognized that many of the choices I made were out of fear and lack of self-approval. The thought of starting from scratch terrified me. It was surprising to reveal that grief comes alongside with peace when it’s the right decision.”

“Ended (by the morning sun)” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2019’ Spotify playlist.
