Thin Joe Greene – “Macie Says”

Thin Joe Greene is the duo of James Jacobik and Shane Joyce, from Buffalo, New York. Their recent release, Allentown After 3am Demos, shows an eclectic, creative array of sounds — blending bedroom-pop synths, garage-friendly guitars, and ardent vocals throughout. Tracks like “One Day I Know” and “My Walk” emphasize a more guitar-focused, lo-fi sound, while others — like the opening “Macie Says” and “She Said Sorry” — explores a more atmospheric, synth-touched realm. The opener is a treat, featuring swirling guitar twangs amidst haunting vocals and consuming textures — like a blend of The Fall and Alex G.
