Bubblegum Hypnosis – “Sphere of Time”

“Sphere of Time” blends psych-friendly guitar tones with intimate, bedroom-set production for an engaging feel. The track, courtesy of the project Bubblegum Hypnosis, rides on lushly retrospective vocals, gliding guitars, and a hypnotic rhythm section. “Sphere of Time” plays like a nocturnal jam, with the quaint vocals and flowing guitars succeeding with ample atmosphere. This project touts both a style and melodic composure that plays effectively.

Per the artist, the track “tells the story of a couple questioning their existence and ultimately falling in love in a cosmic journey musically illustrated through the means of lo-fi psych pop incorporating dreamy jazz chords and beautiful reverb-drenched Indian-inspired guitar licks, reinforced by groovy bass lines and crisp drums.”

“Sphere of Time” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2019’ Spotify playlist.
