Sara Seyed – “Loopy”

/

Philly-based singer/songwriter Sara Seyed impresses on the track “Loopy,” showing a lush and entrancing vein of pop with nocturnal synths and plucked strings. I’m fondly reminded of Jessy Lanza’s aesthetic — showing a melodic, accessible vein of pop, while also prioritizing a sense of atmospheric gratification. The strings and synths interact cohesively, as Seyed’s smoothly gripping vocals alternate between lush verses and a more pulsing, infectious hook. The 21-year-old Seyed is absolutely a rising artist to keep an ear out for.

“Loopy” was written by Seyed, and produced by Mark Kraus and Johnny Vitale (Loneshark).

“Loopy” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Indie Pop.
