Droolfox – “Trusty Shoes”

/

The lushly melodic “Trusty Shoes” comes via Droolfox, a duo from Bangalore, India. Spacey synths, a hypnotic bass, and light smatterings of guitar establish an entrancing soundscape to start. Serene vocals then enter alongside glistening keys and soft guitars. 01:12 sees another convergence of synths, guitars, and rhythms, this time with a tender vocal presence. “Trusty Shoes” is a hooky and easy-listening success from Droolfox.

“‘Trusty Shoes’ throws light upon fear, its absence, and the acknowledgment to not being ready for love,” the act writes. “The EP has a dark undertone despite its vivid sound. It speaks about the fear of commitment, which is very common in our generation, lives are ever faster, we don’t wanna compromise a thing, just not ready for love as convention knows it.”

“Trusty Shoes” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush Rock/Pop.
