Kami – “Questions”

Kami is a Miami-based producer with a knack for lushly melodic pop music, intertwining aspects of synth-pop and dreamwave. New track “Questions” is a twinkling, infectious success, complete with fluid synths and guitar adornments. The track features the smooth vocals of Lanvark, who loved the track after Kami reached out with a request for the vocal lead. The interlude at the track’s two-minute mark features swaying guitars, wordless serene vocals, and a plucked sort of elegance that produces a sweepingly enchanting soundscape.

“”Questions” is a song about asking why things have to turn out the way they do in regards to a person you are trying to detach yourself from,” Kami says. “It’s about asking how you ended up falling in love, only for it to be wasted because there’s no way you and this person could realistically work due to some circumstances.”

Another recent track from Kami is the lush instrumental “The Boys”:

“Questions” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Soundcloud playlist.
