Lucid Lynx – “Nothing to Find”

/

Boston-based act Lucid Lynx craft an engrossing psych-forward sound, evident on the dreamy track “Nothing to Find.” A deep bass line and hazy guitars open the effort with a Pink Floyd-esque pull, consuming from the get-go. A fantastic bridge around 02:10 sees fleeting synths emphasized within this psych-friendly mix, as the melody shifts to a bouncier demeanor before adjusting back to the enjoyable initial haziness.

I’m certainly looking forward to Lucid Lynx’ upcoming sophomore album, out sometime this year. The band succeeds in blending ’70s psych-rock nostalgia with some modern, fresh ideas.

“Nothing to Find” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush Rock.
