MonClaire – “Chosen”

“Chosen” is a catchy pop/hip-hop fusion from MonClaire, a New York-based artist that seamlessly mixes pop hooks and hip-hop verses. “Chosen” is evident of such structural maneuvers. A bouncy, high-pitched piano leads a fairly minimalist beat, with the various vocal sections leading the way (appearances from PLAY NICE and Keante Rodriguez). The “I was chosen,” hook echoes a yearning for success and the spotlight, reminiscent of The-Dream’s production. Fans that enjoy pop/hip-hop hybrids should seek out “Chosen” and other recently released tracks “Another One” and “Bruce Wayne” from MonClaire.

“Chosen” and other memorable hip-hop tracks can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Hip-Hop’ Spotify playlist.
