Acidic Base – “Tachyon”

/

Complete with a whirring array of spacey synths and structural variation, “Tachyon” is a new track from Chicago-based electronic artist Acidic Base. First impressing with “Purple Skies” last year, the project of Siddharth Goswam again engrosses here. “Tachyon” initially touts a barren, spacey tone until the pulsing drop around the 40-second mark. From here, the track unleashes a fervent, excitable feel that resembles a spaceship going from 1 to 100 in terms of light-speed. The rhythmic backing plays well throughout in its transition from hectic to lusher moments, with the synths being melodically reflective of these shifts. Along with “Dawn” and “Spectrum,” “Tachyon” show Acidic Base on heading into 2020 on a very strong note.

“Tachyon” and other memorable tracks from December 2019 can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2019’ Spotify playlist.
