A new track from Glasgow-based musician ANDREWBATES, “Emotion.” shows some lovely production in its unrolling of a nocturnal soundscape. Lush blooping keys and steadily unveiling vocals kick things off. An engrossing rhythmic pulsing occurs around 53-second mark, when the track takes its first plunge into expansion. The overall delivery and soundscape enjoyably conjures James Blake-esque vibes, especially during the escalating vocals in the final minute. Look for the artist’s EP to release later this year.
