Premiere: La Dante – “The Only Ones”

/

Releasing today, La Dante’s “The Only Ones” is a delightfully catchy track with bouncy vintage synths and soulful guitar additions. Suave, breezy vocals lead to the “we could be the only ones,” hook, with a lush bridge around 02:20 evoking a serene sophisti-pop feel. The project previously impressed with the track “Gambling Man (Time to Walk Away)” last March, and the solo project of Philadelphia-based Maxwell Perla succeeds again here.

The track is a fun representation of the project’s “Synth & Soul” sound, which emphasizes “funky rhythms, silky synthesizers, and evocatively narrative songwriting.” “The Only Ones” is a very fun listen that leads nicely into a chilled-out weekend.

“The Only Ones” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2020’ Spotify playlist.
