Gabacho – “I Want You Mine”

“I Want You Mine” is a hypnotic charmer from Gabacho. Playful keys and murky guitars accompany chilling vocals, with the guitar twang at the one-minute mark leading nicely into the memorable chorus. There’s a quaint charm reminiscent of The Kinks, as well. The yearning and hypnotic qualities throughout the track are considerable, making “I Want You Mine” very easy to get lost within. “I Want You Mine” comes via Gabacho’s new self-titled EP.

Gabacho explains more about the track and its creative process:

“For some reason my favorite feelings are nostalgia and melancholy, they have a certain beauty that aren’t as simple as happiness or sadness: they’re found somewhere in between. I wanted to make a song that resonates with those feeling and truly reflected how I feel when I’m lost in nostalgic daydreams. Especially the opening and closing melody which I came up with in my dreams. As soon as I woke up I grabbed my phone and recorded a voice memo of me mumbling the notes half-asleep.”

“I Want You Mine” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.
