Jackson Price and the Blues Rockets – “Staying High”

/

Jackson Price and the Blues Rockets are a quartet from New Mexico, paying homage to rootsy blues and rock ‘n’ roll. “I want to pay homage to the roots of real music in a time where music played by real bands is dropping from the mainstream,” Price says. The band’s new album, I Used to Have Fun, features a variety of memorable tracks. Among them is “Staying High,” a confident rocker. Bluesy guitar twangs and suave vocals reflect a yearning for reprieve. “Went from 10 back to 1,” Price sings, “never read in a book it could be this much fun.” Stream the album via Spotify here.

“Staying High” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.
