T-Shirt Dream Party – “Oops”

/

“Oops” is the third single from Manchester-based act T-Shirt Dream Party. Comprised of brothers Ben and Dan Dickson and lifelong friends Eggs (David Egbe) and Sam Powell, the band shows very well here. Fluid, dreamy guitars establish a clanging guitar-pop feel to start, with enthusiastically emotive vocals conveying a suave confidence despite their evident presence. There’s a lovely melodic switch-up approaching the two-minute mark, with more alternative-geared guitars complementing a vocal twist. The track’s final minute is particularly impressive, with increasing correspondence between climactic guitars and rhythm section, as 03:10 reveals a melodic, distortion-heavy payoff. “Oops” is a thorough success from T-Shirt Dream Party. Parts alternative-rock and dream-pop, “Oops” easily entices replays.

“Oops” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
