Vampsy – “grace”

/

The peppy, catchy “grace” is the latest from Vampsy. Vibrant vocals, a bouncy bass-laden pull, and twinkling keys/synths build toward an exhilarating expansion, just past the two-minute mark. Here, a hooky vocal melody and swirling melodic quality conjures a feeling that’s parts Smith Westerns and Foster the People. A delightful track with ample replay-inducing appeal, “grace” is a winner from Vampsy.

Vampsy elaborates on the track’s background and inspiration below:

“This song was largely inspired by Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. She puts out free videos and is a true therapist for many. She had a yoga video titled “Grace” and the lesson really stuck with me. I’m just so grateful. My house also got hit by a tornado last week in Nashville and I had this release planned for a month, so the timing of it is truly bizarre as my community and I go through some intense times. Lucky to be alive, lucky to have such amazing people in my life.”

“grace” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
