Breakup Films – “All Kinds of Flowers”

/

“All Kinds of Flowers” is the yearning, jangly fourth single from Breakup Films, a project based in Israel. Quaint and effective, “All Kinds of Flowers” begins with sparser sections featuring lyrics conveying the pain of long-distance relationships. “‘Cause we can’t seem to find the right time to ever call,” the vocals admit, followed by escalating guitar jangles. The rising vocal turn around 01:10 is invigorating in its emotive uptick. “All Kinds of Flowers” shows a dreamy, yearning allure that’s very enjoyable.

“My girlfriend and I have been traveling a lot (mostly separately) in the past year and this song is about how much maintaining a long-distance relationship sucks,” the artist writes. “I wrote this song while she was away and I was back home missing her.”

“All Kinds of Flowers” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Soundcloud playlist.
