Danish band Aztek show their soaring rock sound on new track “I’ll Be Waiting,” a catchy piece of ear candy with a majestic quality one would anticipate from a Bond theme song. Bursting synths a lush rhythm section put on a dazzling display to start. Vocals emerge with a patient yet powerful push in the verses, escalating at 01:24 with a yearning, soulful hook. 02:45 sees a fun, spacey bridge that adds further to the already-consuming soundscape, with a more prominent guitar buzz emerging thereafter. “I’ll Be Waiting” is a powerful, memorable track from Aztek.
“I’ll Be Waiting” and two future tracks will comprise a forthcoming EP entitled I Am Not Who I Want To Be, out later this summer. Anders Søndergaard (Go Go Berlin) produced and mixed the EP.
