Juicebumps – “Jumpy”

“Jumpy” is a uniquely infectious track from Bay Area act Juicebumps. Concise vocal punches and quaint guitar tones establish an intriguing sound to start, with wordless vocal reflections and playful keys mingling past the 30-second mark. Playing like a form of relatively polite art-punk, “Jumpy” is a stylistic and melodic pleasure from Juicebumps. I’m looking forward to seeing what this act churns out next.

Another recent track is the Devo-esque “Smalltalk,” another melodic enjoyment:

“Jumpy” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
