Kanna – “Silhouettes”

/

A gripping track from Kanna‘s new Greenjacket EP, “Silhouettes” shows a dreamy vein of rock that hooks from the get-go. Reverbed vocals and a lush bass line lead following a series of jangly, nostalgic guitars. Percussion and guitars unfold just prior to the one-minute mark, setting up for an engrossing, shimmering guitar-led hook thereafter. “Silhouettes” is exceedingly easy to get lost in, thanks to a hypnotic vocal presence, swirling guitars, and a cohesive altogether flow.

Per the band, the track is “about a nightmare Kanna’s guitar player John had in which him and his brother were trapped in a cosmic art museum that could not be escaped.”
