Samuel Campoli – “One Eye”

“One Eye” is a hazy, hypnotic delight from Samuel Campoli, a Brooklyn-based producer, composer, and songwriter. Soft, ethereal vocals and a gentle rhythm section are accompanied by psych-friendly guitar textures, assembling a psych-forward blend of rock and folk that resonates. A haunting synth pad backing around 02:30 adds to a ghostly soundscape, culminating shortly thereafter in effervescent, prancing keys and lush guitars. “One Eye” is a track that leaves a strong mark both aesthetically and melodically. Campoli is an artist I’m looking forward to following.

“One Eye” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Folk.
