Aaron Joseph Russo – “Cha Cha Cha”

/

“Cha Cha Cha” presents further lush melodic goodness from Aaron Joseph Russo, impressing in the past with tracks like “Espresso” and “Disco.”

The Australian artist crafted “Cha Cha Cha” with nostalgic intentions. “I was listening to a lot of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and I found myself wanting to make a song that has that old sort of feeling,” Russo explains. “But also I’ve always wanted to make a bossa nova kinda song, this is what came out, it’s meant to sound like an old song that someone found on an old vinyl compilation somewhere, and meant to feel romantic and colourful.”

Smoky synth tones and caressing organs assemble a ghostly, emotive allure to start. The melancholic touch around the two-minute mark, met with the “cha-cha,” lyric, plays especially well. Guitar-based touches follow, tenderly and entrancingly. “Cha Cha Cha” is another aesthetic and melodic success from Aaron Joseph Russo.

“Cha Cha Cha” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.
