Bosley – “Are We Giving Up?”

///

Vibrant funk-pop track “Are We Giving Up?” features an infectious vocal melody and bright brass adornments. The release marks the latest from Bosley. The artist first made waves with 2011 album Honey Pig, finding success since with ample festival slots and sync deals. The Baltimore native, now living in Berlin, shows accessible charm with “Are We Giving Up?”

The track’s “are we givin’ up?” chorus — punctuated by a suave vocal lead — naturally pushes for replays. A fun guitar segment around 01:25 rides alongside a funky bass line, as the vocals suavely ease back in. Bosley’s pop songwriting chops are on full display here.

“Are We Giving Up?” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
