Evening Elevator – “Sweet September”

/

Casting a fitting mood as the leaves change colors, “Sweet September” is a warming track from Evening Elevator. The duo of Tim Segreto and Dub Sonata show a stirring sound with this project, emphasizing orchestral components and ardent lyrics within a soothing array of instrumentation. “Sweet September” allures with prancing piano, lush acoustics, and backing strings — as lyrics beckon for a sense of remembrance as the seasons change. In particular, the “hope you have a sweet,” vocal lead-in alongside twinkling and string-laden charm produces a caressing, lush feel that succeeds. I’m definitely looking forward to what’s next from Evening Elevator.

“Sweet September” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Folk.
