Terra Cessna – “Chambers”

/

“Chambers” is a grooving, suave track from Terra Cessna, led with enamoring qualities by nocturnal guitar and synth tones. The tinge of funk and bass-heavy vocal sections, swapping with synth-forward hooks, reminds fondly of Neon Indian, specifically their sound on Vega Intl. Night School. The glistening synths frolic as the vocals fade, channeling a tone also lovably reminiscent of Yellow Magic Orchestra (“Behind the Mask“). 02:20 sees a lovely dose of synths added to the backing amidst yearning, melancholic vocals. “Chambers” succeeds in various facets.

The London-based project describes the track as follows: “A song that is meant to reflect in a dream-like state a collection of thoughts that occurred during the Covid19 pandemic quarantine.”

“Chambers” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.
