Midwestern Dirt – “Black Lotus”

//

Showing a rousing rock sound with a passionate vocal lead, reminiscent of Placebo, “Black Lotus” is a new track from Chicago-based solo project Midwestern Dirt. The track comes via Midwestern Dirt’s new album, Sayonara. A flickering bass line and lingering guitar tones construct an enticing soundscape in the contemplative verses, building to a soaring burst around 01:30 that emphasizes captivating vocal power. Amped-up percussion accompanies extended guitar tones toward the conclusion, flexing the track’s textural glow. “Black Lotus” is a consuming success from Midwestern Dirt.

“Black Lotus” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.
