RGB – “Fading”

“Fading” is a new single from Tel-Aviv based band RGB, the first single from their upcoming album. A vibrant, evolving neo-soul sound is on display. The introduction features gripping spoken-word over mellow keys, gliding into the glistening “why do I keep swimming by your side?” hook prior to the one-minute mark. Thereafter, a different lead emerges amidst funky guitar licks and lush synth-laden effects. Leading back into the aforementioned hook, the track maintains engrossing qualities throughout, especially upon the guitar/synth interplay in the final minute.

The band writes the following regarding the track: “The lyrics, in general, are about the race we live in. How it seems like everyone is always on the run and in a rush, when all we want to do is fulfill our dreams. Should we do what we love even if it doesn’t guarantee wealthy life?”

“Fading” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Funk, Soul, and R&B.
