Future Jr. – “Love In Colour”

Future Jr. casts a dreamy pop sound on “Love In Colour,” a track heavy on atmospheric production and vocal yearning. “It’s love in colour,” the artist sings during the bursting chorus, where effervescent synths and pulsing, ’80s-friendly percussion permeate. The verses show a climatic buzzing, its relative nonchalance contrasting well with spacey bridge and ensuing, sparkling chorus. David Burris’ production impresses throughout. “Love In Colour” plays with dazzling charm. The Brisbane-based artist says of the track: “It was written the night I realized I wanted to ask my girlfriend to be my wife.”

“Love In Colour” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
