Gone From My Sight – “Chrome Dynasty”

Displaying a sound with touches of darkly industrial rock, post-punk, and suave pop, Gone From My Sight impress throughout new album Twenty Twenty. “Chrome Dynasty” opens the album with consuming, evolving post-punk charm. A quivering synth and solemn vocals establish a minimalist intro, as prickly bass and percussion steadily enter the fold. Buzzing guitars become a prominent component as the three-minute mark approaches, reminding fondly at this point of Beck, aesthetically. The San Francisco-based act show well on this track and throughout Twenty Twenty, recommended for fans enjoying the intersection of industrial rock, post-punk, and electronica.
