Thai Food – “Swiss Alps”

/

Bay Area act Thai Food show eclectic charm throughout “Swiss Alps,” traversing from suave rock into brass-forward jazz and funk. An expansion at the one-minute mark shows strong melodic pull. The “why would you wanna go?” vocal hook plays effectively amidst intriguing guitars and brass, again in the concluding minute. Mood and atmosphere are ample throughout this well-produced track, full of life and rhythmic unpredictability, especially within the “fly in my soup,” playfulness. “Swiss Alps” charismatically exudes creativity energy throughout.

Per the band: “This song follows a luxurious train ride through the Swiss Alps into chaos and back again. The song emphasizes the use of sonic imagery, describing a descent into madness and absurdity.”

“Swiss Alps” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2021’ Spotify playlist.
