“Notice Of Visit” is another success from Los Angeles-based artist Jennie Lawless, first catching our ears last year with the track “Care 4 U Carefully.”
Beginning with tranquil guitar trickles and serene vocals, “Notice Of Visit” perks up sporadically with vocal rises and colorful synth flourishes. “I’m here now,” Lawless repeats during an especially melodic section, leading into a suavely entrancing guitar-fronted section amidst dreamy wordless backing vocals. “Notice Of Visit” delights throughout with its weightless melodic whimsy.
The track is the first single from Jennie Lawless’ upcoming EP, I Am Here To Make Friends. Per the artist, “Notice Of Visit” is “inspired by a brief stint working for the U.S. Census in the summer of 2020, it’s about wanting a deeper connection to my community here in LA.”
