Lucky Lo – “Supercarry”

“Supercarry” flourishes with positive vibes and replay-inducing melodic charm. The track comes via Lucky Lo, the pseudonym for Swedish multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Lo Ersare. Complemented by a fun music video with lovely choreography, “Supercarry” is described as “about lifting others up, and letting yourself be lifted.” A bouncy turn around the two-minute mark shows a blissful melodic appeal amidst trickling guitars and rhythms that echo prog-rock fervor. A seamless turn into the “super-duper carry,” verses takes place thereafter. Each of the song’s sections quite easily get stuck in my head, with the track’s production and overall melodic contagiousness being difficult to refuse.

“It is about putting someone else’s needs in front of your own, and trusting that you will get the same care in return,” Ersare continues. “We all have the capacity to “Supercarry” someone.”

“Supercarry” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2021’ Spotify playlist.
