Robert Vendetta – “Without You”

Robert Vendetta‘s “Without You” is a well-produced, melodically enjoyable slice of brisk pop, reminding of a more upbeat vein of Talking Heads. The “such a long way,” vocal turn plays great, in particular — exuding a spacey, psych-friendly touch. David Bowie and Tom Odell are referenced as inspirations. The track is released alongside a music video, created by Marius Martinsen, and based on the Sin City universe. Robert Vendetta struts ample melodic pull throughout this one.

Per the artist: “This energetic song, is about being the ray of light that helps someone see through the dark. In the darkness, it is not always easy to accept a friend reaching out his hand. Sometimes all that friend can do is just to be there.”

“Without You” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2021’ Spotify playlist.
